The Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) is now accepting applications for the 2023/24 Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship Awards.
University of Ghana Scholarship for International students Eligibility
The University of Ghana Scholarship for International students covers tuition, books, room and board, and additional expenses, and will be awarded for four years as long as the recipient maintains a minimum B CGPA (3.0 GPA).

You can apply if you:
- Are a regular student at the University of Ghana.
- Can demonstrate a limited family income and/or insufficient funds to cover educational expenses.
- Show determination, perseverance, and success in other pursuits.
- Have an aggregate of 20 or better in the WASSCE and a CGPA of 2.5 or better if you are a continuing student.
How to apply for University of Ghana scholarship as an international student
- To apply for University of Ghana scholarship for international students, submit a completed scholarship application online or download and Complete the application form.
- Once there, click on ‘Admission’, and then select ‘Financial Aid/UG Scholarship’.
- Carefully read through the eligibility criteria and fill out the online application form.
- Submit the required essays, high school transcripts (terminal reports), WASSCE results, university acceptance letter, achievement records, recommendation letters, and documentation of financial need. Access the online application form here.
- Alternatively, download and submit the completed scholarship application form.
Financial Aid for Undergraduate Students
If this is your first time applying for UG Sponsorship, or if your previous application was unsuccessful, please select ‘New Application Submission’ under the Application Type on the online form.
If you have previously received UG Sponsorship for the 2022/2023 academic year or earlier from SFAO, then select ‘Renewal of Application’ under Application Type on the online form.

Applicants who fail to submit hardcopies to the SFAO will be disqualified.
Supporting Documents Required for 2023-2024 Application
The supporting documents you need to include are: a copy of your Admission letter, proof of registration, academic records (WASSCE grades/ Transcripts), letters of recommendation, birth certificates of siblings, documents supporting your financial need, and any other documents you think might help with your application.
