Swami Vivekananda is yet again giving scholarships, and you don’t want to miss this opportunity. So, I have decided to carefully guide you through the Swami Vivekananda scholarship application process. The steps are simple but also technical at the same time, and you do not want to make mistakes. Here, you will get the complete instructions for submitting your online application for the Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship 2024.
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Application Process 2024
First, let’s start with the dates. The new application begins on 12/07/2024. If you are for Swami Vivekananda scholarship renewal, the date is also from 12.07.2024. For new Kanyashree (K3) application, the date is 12.07.2024.
Now, let’s talk about the application procedure for Swami Vivekananda scholarship step by step.
1. Start Your Online Registration
Follow the simple steps I have explained below and make no mistake.
- Fill out and submit the Swami Vivekananda scholarship online registration form.
- A 15-character Applicant ID will be generated after submission. You need this ID for future steps and correspondence.
- Remember to follow the Password Policy as instructed in the Registration Form.
- Download the Registration Slip or note the Applicant ID. The ID will also be emailed to the address you provide during your registration.
For Kanyashree (K3) applicants, do the following:
- Complete the authentication form to verify your existence in Kanyashree (K2). This includes details like Kanyashree (K2) Year of Application, Kanyashree ID, and personal information.
- Proceed to the registration form. The rest of the process is similar to the fresh application.
If you are a girl student pursuing post-graduation in Science/Arts/Commerce without a Kanyashree (K2) ID, you have to apply under the Directorate of Public Instruction category. It has the same criteria and benefits as Kanyashree (K3).
If you are for the Renewal applications, there is no need for new registration. Use the previous Applicant ID and Password for your renewal.
If you forget your Applicant ID or Password, you can retrieve them using the ‘Forgot Applicant ID/Password’ option from the Applicant Login area. Now, when you are ready to apply online, use your Applicant ID, Password (set during the registration process), and Captcha (Security Code) to log in. After logging in, complete the remaining application forms. Remember to follow the guidelines for uploading your image and signature: they should be in JPG/JPEG format, with the image between 20KB-50KB and the signature between 10KB-20KB.
2. Upload Your Documents
So, you have now filled out the Swami Vivekananda scholarship application forms. The next step is to upload scanned supporting documents. Make sure these documents are in PDF format and don’t exceed 400KB in size. In the document upload section, choose the appropriate authority (like BDO/SDO/Jt. BDO / BLRO for Panchayat Areas, or various officers for municipal areas) who issued your Income Certificate.
For Fresh and Kanyashree Applications, you’ll need to upload the following:
- Mark sheet of Madhyamik Exam or equivalent (both sides)
- Mark sheet of the last exam from Board/Council/University/College (both sides)
- Admission receipt
- Family income certificate (not needed for Kanyashree)
- Domicile certificate (like Aadhaar ID, Voter ID, Ration card, etc.)
- First page of your bank passbook with A/C No. and IFSC
- Declaration from your institution’s head if there’s a gap year (only if you qualified in 2022 or earlier)
For Renewal Applications, upload the following:
- Marksheet of the last exam in your current course (both sides, include both semesters if applicable)
- Admission receipt for the next higher class
You can find the Income Certificate format in the Downloads section of the portal.
3. Submit Your Application
After uploading everything, review your application in view mode and click Submit Application to finish the process.
Unfortunately, you can’t edit your Swami Vivekananda scholarship application after submission. But if you need to change something (such as bank details or documents), contact the head of your institution. They can unlock your application for editing. If you need to change details about your current course of study, then you must contact the helpdesk for assistance.
