I have also mentioned one Canadian college I found that does not require an application fee.

This is something I have done, and it took a lot of time because I had to collect information from many universities, and then check their websites one after the other to know which ones require an application fee and which do not. Universities will typically mention under the funding and fees section what the application fee is, or they might mention that they don’t charge an application fee at all. Sometimes, they don’t mention fees whatsoever.
Cheapest Universities in Canada with No Application Fee
After going through a list of over 30 schools in Canada, I identified 3 universities and one college. Now, I put the tuition fee into consideration as well, but the primary focus was on the ‘application fee’. So, these universities may not be as cheap as the cheapest options in Canada, but, at least, none asks for an application. Also, another thing I noticed is that these schools can be a bit biased because some actually waive this fee in specific countries only. You’ll find out as you read on.
1. Tyndale University
The first school we will look at is Tyndale University. If you apply from Canada or the United States, you don’t have to pay an application fee. However, if you join the Bachelor of Education (BEd) program, there’s a non-refundable $75 fee. This means that you can’t get it back once you pay for it. For international students coming from other countries, the application fee will cost $150, and this fee is also non-refundable.
The acceptance rate for Tyndale University is as high as 75%. However, it’s a private university, and so the tuition can be a bit expensive. For a 3 credit hour course, the tuition fee is $1,686. If you are a full-time undergraduate student, you will take 10 courses per academic year—5 courses per semester. So, the total tuition and fees for 10 courses will be $16,860.
2. University of British Columbia
We also have the University of British Columbia. This is a good school for anyone, including international students. At the University of British Columbia, there are a few special cases that do not require you to pay the application fee. First, if you are an international applicant from any least-developed country (according to the United Nations), then you do not pay an application fee. So, yes, the University of British Columbia is one of the cheapest universities in Canada with no application fee, but not so cheap. Some of such countries include Uganda, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Ethiopia. There are a lot more on the UN’s list, so make sure to see if your country is among them.
Secondly, if you are a senior living in BC, a Canadian citizen, or a permanent resident who’s 65 or older, you won’t have to pay the application fee at the University of British Columbia.

UBC tries to price its international tuition as competitively as American schools, not Canadian schools. Nonetheless, it is a cheaper university, compared to American universities, and it still provides a high-quality education
I checked the 12-month full year program tuition fees; it is about C$31,634.73 or C$10,544.91 per installment for Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. For international students, it is C$61,743.57 for the 12 month full-time program or C$20,581.19 per installment.
3. Booth University
So, Booth University is also a bit biased. For Canadian or U.S. students, you do not pay an application fee when you start your application process online. However, international students, outside the US, have to pay to apply. The acceptance rate at Booth University is about 71%. As for the tuition, Canadian students pay $903, American students pay $1,185, and international students pay $1,365. It is a good school overall.
4. Aurora College
Finally, we will talk about Aurora College. Notice that this isn’t a university but a college. I mentioned that we would talk about one college. that’s because we ran out of university options too quickly. Aurora College does not ask for an application fee. So, this school has zero bias when it comes to domestic, American, or international students. There is no application fee. However, fees for international students will depend on your preferred program. The acceptance rate for Aurora College is 84%—that’s a high rate of admission. This means that you are more likely to gain admission here. As for the fees, you pay them in advance and they are subject to change. Aurora College charges $365 per course for up to two courses.
