The Oyo State Scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic session is now open for applications. Approved by the Oyo State Scholarship Board, this scholarship aims to help students from Oyo State fund their education. It is available to all indigene students currently enrolled in recognised institutions across Nigeria.
This scholarship is specifically for students who have already completed their first year of study.
Oyo State Scholarship 2024/2025
Students who are of Oyo State origin and meet the requirements will receive scholarship funds based on their level of study. The scholarship is available for undergraduate, HND, and postgraduate students in tertiary institutions within Nigeria. The award can be either merit-based or need-based.
It is important to note that the scholarship is only open to full-time students in Federal or State institutions. Part-time students or those enrolled in certificate courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
Additionally, the Oyo State Scholarship Board has provisions for physically challenged students. Students with a physical disability who are enrolled in public tertiary institutions are eligible to apply. Proof of disability must be provided.
Oyo State Scholarship Requirements
To apply for the Oyo State Scholarship 2024/2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be indigenes of Oyo State.
- Be HND, undergraduate, or postgraduate students in approved public institutions.
- Part-time and diploma course students are not qualified to apply.
- Applicants must have completed at least one academic session in their institution.
- Students with a CGPA of 4.0 (for university students) or 3.5 for polytechnic and college of education students have an advantage (for merit-based scholarships).
- Students with disabilities are eligible to apply and must provide proof of disability.
How to Apply for the Oyo State Scholarship 2024/2025
To apply, interested students must visit the Oyo State Scholarship Board’s website and complete the online application form. On the portal, applicants should click on Apply for Scholarship and follow the instructions.
Candidates are required to scan and upload the following documents:
- Admission letter
- Recent passport photograph
- Certificate of local government of origin
- Course registration form signed by the Head of Department
- School ID card
Oyo State Disburses 2024 Scholarship Money
The Oyo State Scholarship Board will carefully review all submitted information. They will verify that students are still enrolled in their institution before approving and releasing the scholarship funds. Once approved, the funds will be paid into the students’ accounts. This scholarship can be renewed each year, provided students maintain good academic performance. To continue receiving the scholarship, students must meet the required CGPA. The Board expects that students who receive the scholarship will remain dedicated to their studies and continue to perform well academically.
