The Katsina State Scholarship is now available for the 2024/2025 academic session. The Katsina State Scholarship Board (KTSSB), through the Katsina State Scholarship Trust Fund, has officially opened applications for the 2024/2025 session. This scholarship is designed to support eligible students in funding their education. It is open to all indigene students of Katsina State. The KTSSB will offer scholarships to students attending universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
KSSTF Katsina State Scholarship 2024/2025
This scholarship targets students who are indigenes of Katsina. It covers students at different stages of their academic journey, whether they are yet to receive their admission letter, currently enrolled, or have completed their degree in a tertiary institution.
The Katsina State Scholarship Trust Fund (KSSTF) offers various categories of scholarships:
- Need-based scholarships
- Merit-based scholarships
- Scholarships for students with physical disabilities studying in public tertiary institutions.
Katsina State Scholarship Requirements 2024/2025
To apply for the Katsina State Scholarship 2024/2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an indigene of Katsina State and have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students in a government-approved public tertiary institution.
- Undergraduate students must present a valid admission letter.
- Postgraduate students (Master’s) must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale or 3.6 on a 4.0 scale.
- PhD applicants must have a Master’s degree with merit.
- Need-based scholarship applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 5.0 scale or 1.6 on a 4.0 scale.
- For merit-based scholarships, a CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale or 3.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.
- Students with physical disabilities are also eligible to apply.
How to Apply for Katsina State Scholarship Board 2024/2025
Applicants who are interested should visit the official KTSSB registration portal at https://ktssb.org.ng and click on Apply for Scholarship. Applicants need to first purchase the Scratch Card on the portal and use the card number to proceed with the registration process.
The application form must be filled with personal details, and students should print the online acknowledgment card. Depending on the scholarship type, it may be need-based, merit-based, or disability-based.
Applicants are required to submit the completed form before the 2024 deadline. After the registration closes, the Board will carry out physical verification and shortlist successful candidates.
Katsina Scholarship 2024 Disbursement
Once the application process is complete, the Katsina State Scholarship Board will carefully review all submitted documents and verify the students’ current enrolment status. After this, the approved scholarship funds will be disbursed to the respective tertiary institutions, either within or outside Nigeria, to cover the students’ tuition fees.
