The Kaduna State Scholarship Board has opened the 2024/2025 academic session for student scholarship applications. This scholarship is approved by the Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board (KADSSLB) to support eligible students in funding their education. It is available to all indigene students of Kaduna State. The KADSSLB will provide scholarships to qualified students in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Kaduna State Scholarship 2024/2025
This scholarship is for students from Kaduna State who are either awaiting their admission letter, currently enrolled with an admission letter, or have completed their degree in a tertiary institution.
The KADSSLB offers both need-based and merit-based scholarships. It also provides scholarships for students with physical disabilities who are studying in public tertiary institutions.
Kaduna State Scholarship Requirements 2024/2025
To be eligible for the Kaduna State Scholarship 2024/2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be an indigene of Kaduna State.
- Must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
- Indigent students studying within and outside Kaduna State are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be registered full-time students in government-approved public tertiary institutions.
- All applicants must provide a personal income tax clearance certificate of their parents or a death certificate if applicable.
- Fresh students must have a minimum of five subjects passed in one sitting in WASSCE or NECO, with at least Grade B in Mathematics and English.
- Undergraduate students must present a valid admission letter.
- Shortlisted foreign scholarship applicants must undergo a drug test and provide a full medical certificate from a government hospital.
- All shortlisted foreign applicants must sign a bond agreement with the state.
- Employed applicants must provide a reference letter from their employer, while unemployed applicants must provide a reference letter from their last institution of study.
- Postgraduate applicants for the emerging skills foreign scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system for a master’s degree.
- PhD applicants must have a Master’s degree with merit.
- Need-based scholarship applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 1.6 on a 4.0 CGPA system.
- A minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.5 on a 4.0 CGPA system is required for a merit-based scholarship.
- Postgraduate applicants for a local scholarship must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 CGPA system or 3.2 on a 4.0 CGPA system.
- Students with physical disabilities are eligible and must provide proof of disability.
- Spill-over students are not eligible.
How to Apply for Kaduna State Scholarship 2024/2025
Interested applicants should visit the official Kaduna State Scholarship registration portal at https://kdsg-scholarship.com and click on the Scholarship tab to apply. Students must complete the application form with their personal information and print the acknowledgment card.
Applicants can choose from the following scholarship categories:
- Local
- Foreign
- Law School
- French Immersion Course
Each scholarship may be need-based, merit-based, sports-based, or disability-based.
The completed application form must be submitted before the deadline specified on the advertisement on the KADSSLB online portal. After the registration closes, physical verification will be carried out, and successful candidates will be shortlisted.

Kaduna State Scholarship Funds Disbursement 2024
The Kaduna State Scholarship and Loans Board will review all the information submitted by applicants. They will verify that students are still enrolled in their institutions before approving and releasing the scholarship funds. Once approved, the funds will be sent to the respective institutions in Nigeria or abroad to cover the students’ tuition fees.
